Projects Zambia is a locally registered construction company specialising in integrated Structural, Mechanical, Platework and Piping (SMPP) and Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) solutions. We bring decades of experience from across Southern Africa to deliver world-class services for the mining, industrial and energy sectors.
Our scope includes the detailing, supply, fabrication, installation and maintenance of structural steel, piping, grating, handrail systems and platework, alongside high and low voltage EC&I installations, automation and process control tailored for complex mining and industrial environments.

S.M.E.I. Projects Namibia (Pty) Ltd operates its own premises in Swakopmund — office, workshop and yard.
Mozambique
Structural steel and platework delivered into the aluminium smelting sector, including 250 tons at the Mozal Smelter Paste Plant.
Zambia Localisation & Workforce Development
Building local capacity, supporting Zambian economic participation.
Operating from our established premises in Manyama, localisation commitments are developed in alignment with client requirements, Zambian statutory frameworks and the practical staging of project execution.
Local Employment
Commitment to local employment as operations are established and expanded. Labour database enhanced to suit demand, with skills assessment and recruitment aligned to project requirements.
Skills Development & Training
Training and upskilling of the local workforce, with knowledge transfer from experienced S.M.E.I. Projects core teams through structured on-the-job training.
Local Supplier Engagement
Engagement of Zambian suppliers and subcontractors where practical and commercially viable, with local procurement targets agreed on a project-by-project basis.
Statutory Compliance
S.M.E.I. Projects Zambia Limited maintains the required statutory and regulatory registrations in Zambia, including NCC, EIZ / Engineering Registration Board, ZRA, Workers’ Compensation and ZDA.
Local Subcontractor Development
Support for the development of local subcontracting capability, applying S.M.E.I. Projects’ regional subcontractor management experience to the Zambian market.
